Q: The vision of ESGE this year is 'defining the future together', so what's your perspective on the future of endoscope industry?
"Since nowadays it is very common to talk about artificial intelligence, l think Al is going to be a rising topic next year, especially in the rapid onsite evaluation of the acquired tissue from ultrasound endoscopy, the evaluation of endoscopic ultrasound images, as well as the automation of report writing."

"For the future, l think we should expect significant developments in Al within the field of endoscopy, that help us to detect and characterize lesions more effectively, as well as to assist us in real-time decision-making during therapeutic procedures."

"As l mentioned earlier, artificial intelligence will be a key focus. Personally, l would suggest conducting further research on the shear wave elastography for liver to evaluate the degree of fibrosis when we perform a liver ultrasound endoscopy."
